stayed 1 night the 1st week of their off season. easy night check in, nice on the phone, and staff super helpful helping us get set up in the dark. quiet place, clean bath house, and close to food and college town. only draw back would be the tight drive into the park through some road construction. other than that, all was good.
We had a wonderful time and, as stated earlier, we will be back. This is probably the most fun and truly family-friendly campground I've been to. VERY well run:)
Yes it is clean and friendly. Maybe too friendly. We were there on a weekend and None of the rules were enforced. There were Small children walking dogs and letting them go where ever. One let their dog poop RIGHT in front of us while having our morning coffee, then ran off. A second later the dog got away from them and went after our neighbors little dog. Adults, if you are too lazy to walk your dog and pick up after it, do NOT bring one! Then there are the people that think nothing of setting up a game on your site! Really? There was no staff going around checking and making sure rules are being followed. No lights at the playground. Almost got run over by two kids on bikes in the dark. One of the rules? NO bike riding after dark! Our grand daughters were with us, came back from the playground many time because of being swore at and treated mean. People think it is all right to just let kids run amuck when camping BUT with no adult supervision Or rules being followed kids WILL do whatever they want. Will we go back? NO
Just got back from an extra long, extremely relaxing, Memorial Day weekend at Yogi, Shangri-La. While the weekend weather was off and on rain, I can't say enough about the cleanliness of this campground! Bathrooms and showers were kept extremely clean (even with the park full for the holiday). The staff I encountered throughout the weekend were super friendly. The new addition of the foam party for the kids was a home run as well! (My nephew was the last kid out of the remaining bubbles!) Great campground!
One of the cleanest and most truly family-friendly campgrounds we've ever been to. The staff was largely friendly (with only a couple of exceptions) and the campground is just really well-run. Movies at night in the amphitheatre, horseshoes, croquet, camp store prices are surprisingly reasonable, nice pool, two ponds with beautiful lily pads, hay rides with Yogi, I could go on and on. We got our picture taken with Cindy Bear, too.
Nice small family oriented campground. Enjoyed our week there and my kids had a great time which is all that we want. Tent camped right in front of the pool/playground area. Would say this is more of a RV park but never felt out of place as a tenter. Store was the most reasonably priced I've seen at a campground, staff was also super nice and friendly. This is also a very clean campground. Would stay again.
Before I write any details, just know that my wife, daughters and I just spent two nights here over the 6/24 and 6/25 weekend and, upon checkout, secured our reservations for next year.
It was almost surreal. You're in a campground and then you turn around and there's a hay ride with Yogi...or Cindy shows up at the pool. BTW...the snack bar (The Pic-a-Nic-a Basket) is also very reasonably priced.
